Posted - Jan 15 2019 : 08:56:25 AM Hi From Talent OR. I keep my home cool around 65 in winter but my oven has a bread proof that stays at 97 - is that too high for wild yeasts? I do have an upstairs office that can stay 70 and warmer. Trying not to buy expensive machine for countertop. Thanks! |

Posted - Mar 07 2019 : 4:57:46 PM I have the same concern as Charlotte. I live in Gig Harbor and our main floor where the kitchen is stays around 60 to 65 almost year round, but we do have a loft with a wet bar that is warmer. Does the mother have to be on the counter or can it be in a proofer?
