My new mother is on day 4 ( started on Sunday 2/20/22). I have a room thermometer sitting next to my mother and it ranges 69 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. I just received my proofer. Would it be best to keep it in the proofer at 70 to 72 degrees?

Since you're right on the edge of the ideal room temperature, and you just received your proofer, I think keeping your mother in it would be great. The extra couple degrees should give your new mother a boost.
