It's in the oven and smells really good. I added grated parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. I like cheese in bread so I hope this combo works.

I don't think so. One thing I have noticed is week to week I always end up with only 5 cups of mother. Must be the store bought flour I am using. I check off each time I feed so I know I haven't missed any.

Yum! Parmesan and red pepper batter bread sounds good. Not much beats Parmesan cheese. I’m glad to hear that the texture and flavor of your loaves is better than last week. Do they have more loft compared to last week?

I liked it but next time will use less cheese and add herbs. The texture and taste of the bread was better than first time - must be more matured mother.
